More competition! – Teams have been reduced from the traditional foursome to two (2) person teams this year.

As usual the tournament pays both Low Gross and Blind Handicap so there are two (2) ways to win!

After 4 good years we’ve finally decided it was time to update the IronMan website and modernize things a bit! The new layout and design should be better to navigate through and make it easier for us to pass along updates to you. The new site will also make it easier to for us update information and share IronMan news more regularly. One of the changes is your ability to subscribe the RSS feed and receive updates from the site as they happen! Look for the RSS link at the bottom of every page and simply click on it to subscribe!

You’ll notice on the right side bar of the website is a link to our Facebook fan page. Please pop on over there and “Like” us! We’ll be using Facebook more and more as another tool to spread information about tournament news and happenings so keep watching in your Facebook news feed. You may even see some of our new IronMan advertisements from time to time on Facebook! Feel free to use the Facebook page as a way of communicating to other players or contacting the IronMan team! Share, share and share some more!

Sadly, this past year, the IronMan team lost an invaluable volunteer and friend. Gail Carpenter volunteered many places in the community. She especially loved helping the Hospital Auxiliary, Sally’s Place and Veterans Causes. But her greatest focus was with the IronMan Golf Tournament. Gail organized all the donations received for raffle prices and solicited many of the hole and tee sponsors and hole in one sponsors. She did all this work being handicapped herself due to several surgeries she had for skin cancer. She will be missed.
